Dear View Ridge Families,
Snowmaggedon sure was fun while it was here, but now we are dealing with the delays it caused. Our last day of school has been officially moved to Thursday, June 27th. We understand that some families have pre-scheduled vacations and camp commitments during what is now the last week of school. As a result, after careful consideration, we have chosen to leave 5th Grade Promotion on its originally scheduled date of June 20th. Many factors were weighed in making this decision.
However, I want to be very clear that active learning will be occurring until the very last day of school, at all grade levels. Our teachers spend significant time and energy creating thoughtful daily lesson plans to meet learning targets and objectives. We need each and every day of school to meet these learning objectives. Therefore, I strongly urge families to make every effort possible to attend school until the very last day. Student absences the last week of school will be considered “unexcused.” Thank you for your help in finishing the school year in stride.
