Join us on Thursday, March 21 from 7:00 – 8:30pm for a presentation by Stefanie Thomas on internet safety for kids. This presentation to parents will cover topics including: cyber bullying; social networking; online gaming; online posting; the reality of teens as targets; and internet and cell phone safety tips.Ms. Thomas is an internet safety expert that has worked with both local and federal law enforcement for the past 9 years regarding the exploitation of children online. She uses this experience to educate parents about internet safety and has reached over 30,000 in the greater Seattle area. She holds a bachelor’s from UW in criminal justice and a Master’s degree from Seattle University in criminal justice.This evening presentation is geared towards parents. Ms. Thomas presented a kid-focused talk on internet safety to the fifth grade classes in February. The evening parent presentation is meant to provide a space for parents to learn additional tools for parenting in the digital age as well as to ask frank questions about internet safety.
