THE GIVING TREE: A VIEW RIDGE HOLIDAY TRADITION
NOVEMBER 18 – DECEMBER 11
What is the Giving Tree? For some families in our community, purchasing gifts during the holidays is a challenge. The Giving Tree is an annual opportunity to purchase gifts for a family in our community, coordinated by the Family Support Committee and our school counselor. Beginning Monday, November 18, please stop by the school office and spread some cheer by choosing an item off of the tree. Then purchase the item, wrap it, and bring it back to the office by Wednesday, December 11. If you would like to buy a gift but aren’t at school often, please contact the committee co-chairs at email@example.com for information about available wishes.
Examples of gift requests include warm winter jackets, art supplies, Legos, jeans, hats, gloves, books and toys. If you don’t like to shop, there are many requests for grocery store gift cards and other area gift cards. All requested items go to families in our school.
Would you like to receive? We invite families who may want to receive via the Giving Tree to contact our school counselor, Joyce Cho, firstname.lastname@example.org, by Tuesday, November 12. All requests are confidential.
What is the Family Support Committee (FSC)? The Family Support Committee works to support the community in as many ways as possible. For more info or to join the committee, please contact the committee co-chairs, Julie Seltzer and Genny Costin, at email@example.com
