Virtual Book Fair is LIVE

Facebooktwittermail

Check it out HERE & Help Stock the VRE Library Shelves!

Did you know? During the2020-2021 school year, our community of learners checked out 17,410 books from the library –  over 1,500 more books than any other elementary school in the district!  This is a testament to our community and to our amazing librarian, Ms. Young,  who worked tirelessly, rain or shine, to bring the library outdoors. If your family was a part of View Ridge last year, you know those library checkouts were far more than a library, they were a joyful gathering space for the community.

As a way to thank Ms. Young, consider using the book fair to restock the library shelves.  Ms. Young has compiled a wish list of titles she is hoping to add to the library.  If you purchase one (or more!) of these books, not only can we update the library, but we also pick up the 20% proceeds – double win!

How do I contribute? Select a book from Ms. Youngs “wish list” (below) and at checkout, simply ship to Ms. Young’s attention at View Ridge Elementary – 7047 50th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98105.  If more than one copy of a particular book is purchased we will either keep multiple copies in the library or donate to another school within SPS whose library could use an infusion of new content.
