April 22nd is Earth Day and April is Environmental Awareness Month.
Fulu Miziki is a social protest band based in the DRC. The founders of the band were disheartened by the lack of recycling and created instruments of found objects and trash. The band raises awareness through their music about the impact of human waste on our environment. Here is their performance as headliners of the Nyege Nyege Music festival.
