Letter from our Principal
Hello View Ridge staff, Scholars and Families:
This past year has been eventful and different from years past. For our youngest scholars, they don’t know anything different and that’s a good thing. For others, we are grieving and experiencing some anxiety over these systems changes due to Covid 19. Through our experiences we are closer and like family. I want to extend to you that I am focused on ensuring the safety and well-being of every View Ridge family member…staff, students, and their families.
As staff and students gear up to re-enter the building you have my promise that we will take every precaution necessary to ensure we are following the latest CDC guidelines. Regular communications will be distributed, and we are here to answer any questions you have. Our other focus is on providing high-quality education, meeting students’ academic needs in a culturally responsive and loving way. Thirdly, as a building leader is important that families feel welcomed. This will look different since the building is considered a closed campus, however, the Community Chats will continue, outdoor events, and you will see me around campus in the morning and afternoon for drop-off and pick-up.
Everyone has a story; I encourage you to take time to inquire and listen with curiosity and compassion to gain insight from each other in your quest to get to know one another and build relationships.I chose View Ridge Elementary as a new beginning for myself, and I wanted to support you in how you imagine our school to be.
In closing, we are stronger together. What I do matters, what you do matters and what we do together matters.I look forward to hearing your stories and collaborating with you this year.
