Sock and Wash Cloth Drive–An Opportunity to Give

Facebooktwittermail

Please help us with a school-wide buddy classroom giving project.  From January 22nd to February 8th, we are collecting NEW ADULT SOCKS (no anklets) and NEW WASH CLOTHS for Urban Rest Stop, a hygiene center in the University District.  Urban Rest Stop provides free restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities to homeless men, women, and children.  Last year View Ridge Otters collected 511 pairs of socks.  Can we surpass this goal and even respond with an additional need of wash cloths?

Students can bring donations to their classrooms or put them in the donation containers in the hallway across from the office.  Buddy classrooms will be getting together during these weeks to make cheerful Valentines to accompany donations.
