How do I let you/the class teacher know that my child will be absent?
Email us at: alexandra.denby@gmail.com. You can also contact the class provider using the contact info that they provided when you registered for the class, but our PTA volunteer for the day will pass along the message if needed. Please note that the school office doesn’t manage after school activities.
When can I register?
We open registration 2 or more weeks before the start of each class session. You can see an example of classes on our After-school activities page.
When do classes start?
There are three sessions in the school year: Fall (October), Winter (January), and Spring (April). You can see the start dates for classes at our main After-school activities page.
Where do I pick up my child?
You can pick up your child in the classroom where they are having the activity.
I have a suggestion. Can we offer a XXXX class?
We are happy to hear suggestions. If you have the name of a company, that’s even better. You can also check out the requirements for offering classes.
Are there scholarships? Can I volunteer?
Need-based scholarships are available! You can email nojungbluth@seattleschools.org. Early registration for scholarship recipients is also available, contact by 1/10 to receive that option, or you can enroll normally at the Hall of Fame website and check the box requesting a scholarship.
Yes, you can volunteer one day per week to help check in students. Volunteers get to sign up early. Contact alexandra.denby@gmail.com if you are available or interested in volunteering.
Why do classes start so late in the school year? Can we start after-school classes at the beginning of the year?
Currently, Seattle Public Schools does not let us schedule classes until 4 weeks after the start of the school year.
Does the school office know where my class is?
There is a calendar posted on the office door, but the school office doesn’t manage the after-school activities. If you have a question, it’s better to ask the PTA volunteer in the lunchroom how to find a class.
