Questions Specifically about Eckstein Middle School
1. Is testing indoors? Testing will be done in the cafeteria. Due to the sensitive nature of the Binax Test Kits, they must be done at room temperature.
2. Multiple people have shared they will not test there kids in an indoor environment with their masks off. I am not sure if they are aware that the test takes 30 seconds and students have their masks off for much longer times at lunch. Any reassuring words for the skeptical? District staff and volunteers who are testing will expedite as much as possible and keep social distancing. Mouths can stay covered with masks when testing is administered. have been tested.
3. Can families test at home and submit data? If so, to where? If families have a home test, they should definitely use it. Our primary goal is for staff and students to test so that they know if they should stay home on Tuesday.
If student tests positive with a home test, please notify the school. They will send the info to our health services department.
