February 5^th – 16^th is the window during which families can submit a Choice Form to be placed in a lottery for placement in a non-neighborhood school.  IMPORTANT – this is also when current View Ridge families who are not in an Advanced Learning seat, but tested as eligible for Advanced Learning or Highly Capable, can apply for an Advanced Learning seat at View Ridge.  Receiving notification that your student is eligible for Advanced Learning does not automatically enroll your student into an Advanced Learning seat here at View Ridge.  The district requires that all families apply for those seats as there are several neighborhood schools near us without an Advanced Learning program.  If your student is already in an Advanced Learning seat, you do not need to reapply.  If you have any questions about Advanced Learning, the Advanced Learning department can be reached at advlearn@seattleschools.org.
