Thank you to all the parents and especially the players, who have braved the cold and wet Winter to workout with us weekly. Now that we are gaining more and more daylight, we will be able to open up more pod slots for new groups. Also, as of today, we are now able to workout up to SIX players per pod, and we can begin to scrimmage with masks on. Existing groups can feel free to recruit another friend or two, and if you are interested in starting a new pod moving into Spring, please contact me ASAP….these WILL go quickly!
One on One moving forward into Spring/Summer
Parents, I have received a glimmer of hope from Seattle Parks & Rec / ARC in the past couple of days. ARC has finally reached out to independent contract vendors like me, to gauge our interest in tentatively planning to run outdoor or virtual summer camps.
I will do everything in my power to be able to offer some fun and active summer camps for kids of all ages and experience levels in our community in some capacity. Since it looks like we will NOT have access to the community center gyms, we will have to get creative with outdoor courts to teach basketball, but we’ll find a way to make it work.
I will communicate with everyone regarding the potential of Summer Camps through our monthly newsletter, and you can always feel free to email me with questions as Spring progresses. In the meantime, we will keep offering Pod Workouts through Spring, and I will plan to be back at the schools next Fall to offer on-site enrichment programs once again. Thanks again for all of your support!
