Medications at school
All medications, including over the counter medications, must be stored and dispersed by the school nurse or office staff. All medications require doctor permission to be given at school.

Students are only permitted to use these devices outside the school building, before and after school.
School meals
Please note that the free meals for all student’s program is going away for the 2022-23 school year. Instead, elementary student breakfast will cost $2.25 and student lunch will cost $3.25. We do not have information yet about the availability of ala carte items (i.e., milk). Parents can fill student accounts through the paypam system (students then type in the four-digit PIN when they buy a meal). Also, if you would like to apply for free/reduced price meal, you can contact Culinary Services at www.seattleschools.org or request a form from our front office.
Transportation Notification
The transportation department is responsible for sending notice of bus routes, including stop location and times. You can contact transportation at 206-252-0900 for more information.
Student Placement
A great deal of time, effort and thought have gone into the process of student placement for the 2022-2023 school year.
Careful consideration was given in the class placement process. Classrooms have been balanced academically and socially. Our class lists are structured to provide equitable class sizes at each grade level.
Our staff works hard to make school a positive experience for ALL students. View Ridge is eagerly looking forward to enriching your child’s life. Please remember that it can take a few weeks for a child to acclimate to a new grade, peer group and teacher.
Thanks to all who are helping prepare for the new school year. I eagerly look forward to greeting students and families again. It remains an honor and a privilege to serve as your principal. Please stop by and say hello. Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all children.
Warmest regards,
Ammon McWashington
Principal
