7:00am to 3:00pm. Office phone number: 206-252-5600
If we are not available, please leave a message.
Any student arriving after 8:00am must stop by the office to check in and get a pass before going to class. They should enter by ringing the buzzer at the flagpole entrance.
If your child needs to leave early for any reason, the office must be notified. When you arrive at school to pick up your child, press the buzzer and we will bring your child to meet you at the front door. Only adults listed on your emergency form will be approved to take your child out of school.
Medications at school
All medications, including over the counter medications, must be stored and dispersed by the school nurse or office staff. All medications require doctor permission to be given at school.
Cell Phones and Electronic Devices
Students are only permitted to use these devices outside the school building, before and after school.
Please note that the free meals for all student’s program is going away for the 2022-23 school year. Instead, elementary student breakfast will cost $2.25 and student lunch will cost $3.25. We do not have information yet about the availability of ala carte items (i.e., milk). Parents can fill student accounts through the paypam system (students then type in the four-digit PIN when they buy a meal). Also, if you would like to apply for free/reduced price meal, you can contact Culinary Services at www.seattleschools.org or request a form from our front office.
The transportation department is responsible for sending notice of bus routes, including stop location and times. You can contact transportation at 206-252-0900 for more information.
A great deal of time, effort and thought have gone into the process of student placement for the 2022-2023 school year.
Careful consideration was given in the class placement process. Classrooms have been balanced academically and socially. Our class lists are structured to provide equitable class sizes at each grade level.
Our staff works hard to make school a positive experience for ALL students. View Ridge is eagerly looking forward to enriching your child’s life. Please remember that it can take a few weeks for a child to acclimate to a new grade, peer group and teacher.
Thanks to all who are helping prepare for the new school year. I eagerly look forward to greeting students and families again. It remains an honor and a privilege to serve as your principal. Please stop by and say hello. Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all children.
