Note: Seattle Public Schools has put a hold on after school enrichment classes for the 2021-22 school year due to Covid-19.

How do I let you/the class teacher know that my child will be absent?
Call or text our Google Voice number at 360-207-1643. If you know ahead of time, you can email us if you prefer: email@example.com. Go ahead – add these contacts to your phone now! You can also contact the class provider using the contact info that they provided when you registered for the class, but our PTA volunteer for the day will pass along the message if needed. Please note that the school office doesn’t manage after school activities.
When can I register?
We open registration 2 or more weeks before the start of each class session. You can see an example of classes on our After-school activities page.
When do classes start?
There are three sessions in the school year: Fall (October), Winter (January), and Spring (April). You can see the start dates for classes at our main After-school activities page.
Where do I pick up my child?
You can pick up your child in the classroom where they are having the activity.
I have a suggestion. Can we offer a XXXX class?
We are happy to hear suggestions. If you have the name of a company, that’s even better. You can also check out the requirements for offering classes.
Classes are expensive. Are there any scholarships? Can I volunteer?
Yes, you can volunteer one day per week and choose one class for free. Volunteers get to sign up early. Need-based scholarships are also available. You can email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call or text (360) 207-1643 when the schedule is live and tell us which class you would like. We will collect all the requests and then assign classes. We aim to provide need-based requests with at least one class. We give priority to students who haven’t taken a class before, but we are usually able to fill all requests. If in doubt – ask! We are always happy to answer questions.
Why do classes start so late in the school year? Can we start after-school classes at the beginning of the year?
Currently, Seattle Public Schools does not let us schedule classes until 4 weeks after the start of the school year.
Does the school office know where my class is?
There is a calendar posted on the office door, but the school office doesn’t manage the after-school activities. If you have a question, it’s better to ask the PTA volunteer in the lunchroom how to find a class. The PTA volunteer for the day can also answer questions by phone or get your child a message when s/he is in class. Contact the volunteer at (360) 207-1643.
